Portuguese Cork

Cork is the bark of the cork oak tree (Quercus Suber). It is a 100% natural plant tissue that’s extracted between May to August, when the cork can be separated from the tree without causing any damage. It's a renewable resource since the bark grows back.

Our cork is grown and harvested sustainably in Portugal.

Cork is...

  • Antimicrobial - Which prevents the growth of bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
  • Water Resistant
  • Wear and Tear Resistant
  • Antistatic and Anti-Allergic
  • 100% Biodegradable, Reusable and Recyclable

Natural Tree Rubber

As opposed to synthetic rubbers which are made from petrochemicals, natural rubber is made naturally from the latex sap of rubber trees (Hevea Brasiliensis). When the bark of the tree is partially tapped, a milky liquid is released. It's then dried out to create the material as we know it. Our Natural Tree Rubber is sustainably harvested in a manner that doesn’t damage the tree.
